“The God of Small Things” BTS at Lisboa Fashion Week

Exploring our backstage photos is a cherished ritual, and last season was no exception. Lisbon Fashion Week in October 2023, hosted at Lisboa Social Mitra in Lisbon, marked a significant moment for our brand and its mission. With "The God of Small Things," we embarked on a transformative journey, embracing traditional techniques over technological materials, including cork-leather. We incorporated Madeira embroidery, Arraiolos embroidery, and Viana do Castelo embroidery with glass beads, challenging the conventional notion that these techniques are limited to materials such as cotton and linen.

Developing this collection presented a substantial challenge due to its complexity in terms of shapes and techniques involved. Nevertheless, we are immensely proud of the final result and the valuable knowledge we gained throughout the process. Amidst the hustle and bustle of a chaotic backstage environment, both Luís Gala and Luís Carmo managed to capture the inherent beauty of our pieces.
